This one-day workshop provides a detailed presentation of the major activities within the realm of material requirements planning (MRP). There is an overview of functions which support MRP including production planning, master production scheduling, ordering and inventory management. Attendees will receive a detailed understanding of the mechanics of MRP, how it works and how to improve operational performance. We will cover the functional requirements to effectively operate MRP. In addition, we will present management responsibilities and actions required to effectively manage MRP. Software and data aspects, critical to accurate MRP, will be discussed in detail. Inventory Management Bootcamp - 1 day

We will cover inventory demand and flow, cost, aggregate inventory, inventory accuracy and measurements.  We will present different ordering methods including MRP, re-order point, periodic review, Kanban and vendor managed inventory.
